Fallas 2010 Official Programme

March arrives and with it the Fallas, the most important holiday of the Valencian Region. You can find here all the official schedule of acts and events for the Fallas 2010.

MASCLETÀS, DAYTIME FIREWORKS DISPLAYS
Every day from March 1-19 at 2pm in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

CASTILLOS, NIGHT FIREWORKS DISPLAYS
March 15-17 at the Paseo de la Alameda at 1am.
March 18 at 1:30am.

March 15

8am. Plantà (The Falla’s top part is finally put in place) of the Children Fallas.
12pm. Homage to the Fallero.
6pm. Closing ceremony of the Ninot (best individual figure of a Falla) exhibition.

Tuesday, March 16

8am. Plantà of all the Fallas.
12pm. Opening of Las Fallas Festival retrospective exhibition.
4:30pm. At the tribune facing City Hall, prizes are awarded for the Children Fallas in the different categories, with Presentations, Nativity scenes, Children Parade, and Fallas brochures.

Wednesday, March 17

9:30am. At the tribune facing City Hall, prizes are awarded for the Fallas in the various categories, along with the Ninot Parade, the Competition of street light displays, Presentations and Fallas brochures.
4-11:30pm. Floral offering to Our Lady of the Forsaken, Valencia's patron saint.

Thursday, March 18

11am. An homage to poet Maximiliano Thous at his monument, followed by a Mascletà.
12pm. An homage to Maestro Serrano will take place at his monument on the Avenida Reino de Valencia, followed by a Mascletà.
4-11:30pm. A floral offering to Our Lady of the Forsaken, Valencia's patron saint.
6pm. In the Jardines del Turia, opposite the Serranos Towers, a hot air balloon exhibition by the Aerostation School of Valencia .

Friday, March 19

11am. On the San José Bridge, a flower offering at the Patriarch's image, followed by a Mascletà.
12pm. Solemn Mass in honour of Patriarch San José at the Catedral de Valencia, accompanied by the Cathedral Choir and the José Iturbi Conservatory Orchestra.
7pm. Fire Parade, from Calle Ruzafa, Colón to Porta de la Mar.
10pm. Cremà, (burning) of the Children Fallas.
10:30pm. Cremà of the First Prize Children Falla of the Special Section.
11pm. Cremà of the Children Falla at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
12am. Cremà of all the Fallas.
12:30am. Cremà of the Falla awarded the First Prize of the Special Section.
1am. Pyrotechnical displays at Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Cremà of its Falla.
