Filmoteca d'Estiu

Once more summer, the gardens of the Music Palace (Palau de la Música) become the headquarters of the Summer Film Festival, a project of IVAC-The Film Archive that has become now, after eight consecutive editions, an unmissable event for the Valencian public. So, from July 28th to September 7th, fans can enjoy a movie every night, at 11 p.m., during an open air projection.
The Filmoteca d'estiu aims to provide a second chance to recent titles of special interest, appealing to any audience. That is why programming rescues in its original version more current films that have premiered Valencian halls throughout the year just as it bent. In this edition, besides the usual cycle devoted to the cinema today, offered up other proposals: first, four classic American comedies that have a virtuous game narrative full of humor, irony and corrosive criticism of social mores. On the other hand, the public may revise or discover for the first time a handful of gems of modern cinema, titles and codenames in the history of European cinema which are reflected in the cycle Modern Classics: masters of European cinema.
