A few years ago, within the rehabilitation proceedings in the Carmen district, old houses facing the square of the Treewere demolished. In this place appeared old remains and the Directorate General of Historical Heritage solved the maintenance of some goods exhumed and their integration into the new building. One of the property to be protected was the 'cellar', one of the oldest recovered in Valencia, which dates back to the thirteenth century. That's cellar was, and is certainly the clearest and oldest in the city center of Valencia. The Valencian Institute of Housing has recovered and restored the building that will house a museum tied to the world of wine. The local history, located in a basement of a new building, will be under the supervision of the entity Proava, which groupes Valencian wineries and companies interested in the dissemination and promotion of food products from Valencia.
