

Last Saturday April 26th was presented the book El Nacimiento de la ciudad deportiva (the birth of the sport city) by Miquel Nadal Tárrega, an essay about the gradual incorporation of the sport to the life in the city of Valencia. In the book launch took part Miquel Nadal, the publisher, Joan Lagardera, the sports journalist Paco Lloret, Sport vicedirector of Radio 9, the lawyer Esteban Gonzalez Pons, deputy of the PP in Valencia, and Luis Gomez, president of the Tennis Club Valencia.
On Sunday April 27th was presented Cuaderno de Fontilles (Diary of Fontilles), the diary of Vincent Sorribes Santamaria, a young doctor who worked at the Sanatorium of Fontilles during the postwar period. In addition to the publisher John Lagardera, during the book launch intervened Josep Lluis Barona, Professor of History of Medicine of the University of Valencia, Ignasi Mora, a writer and journalist, director of the magazine "Viajeros Por la Comunitat Valenciana" and winner of the Mallorca Writing Prize 2007 , Francisco Gimeno, professor of Palaeography of the University of Valencia, and Vicente Sorribes Gisbert , son of the author of the diary.
