On 30 July, Multiespacio Arena in Valencia marked its hundredth day of opening. The shopping centre, located in the neighbourhood of Orriols, has exceeded all expectations, winning the confidence of businesses and customers alike.
The Arena Multiespacio shopping centre was created to meet the business, leisure and parking needs of an area of Valencia with purchasing power but lacking a centre that provided these services. It is therefore a driving force, unique in the North of Valencia, in the urban regeneration of the area where it is located and where over 70,000 vehicles circulate each day. Arena Multiespacio’s area of influence includes 300,000 inhabitants, which rises to 1,500,000 if we include the tertiary areas of influence. The building, located in the Orriols neighbourhood, beside the Levante UD football stadium, has a cutting-edge sustainable design, and was clearly intended to fit in with its surroundings. The presence of the shopping centre has resulted in new urban infrastructures, such as pedestrianised streets. Its three floors cover a gross leasable area of more than 30,000 m2, of which around 90% is currently occupied, offering the public a total of 125 premises. The centre also has a personal shopper service and make-up specialists. Arena Multiespacio provides almost 1,500 parking spaces distributed over three floors, which means convenient parking for customers. Also notable is the fact that the centre does not have any architectural barriers and is well connected by bus, tram and metro. During the time it has been open, the shopping centre has succeeded in achieving its expectations, given that the number of visitors has been 12% more than predicted, with the main customer profile being middle and upper class young people.
