
This is one of the liveliest restaurants in the Ensanche zone, with a cuisine centred on fresh market products with special attention given to presentation (after all, cuisine also has to seduce the eye). We highly recommend the montaditos open sandwich platter and the Matisse del mar (cod, with scallop and prawn brochette) or the Matisse de la tierra (battered lamb chops with sliced T-bone steak). Perfect for sharing at an extremely reasonable price. They play good music (and give away a free CD with a good selection of songs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
